LaLiga recognizes Vinicius crisis and announces treatment

Khaberni - The Spanish Football League condemned any racist insults and showed its support for the Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, who was subjected to racist chants before his team Real Madrid’s match against Albacete in the King's Cup of Spain, which ended with Real losing 2-3 and being eliminated from the tournament.

LaLiga wrote on their social media accounts: "From LaLiga, we condemn any racist insults, whether inside or outside the stadium there is no place for those who harbor hatred, Vinicius LaLiga is with you".

Before yesterday's match, which was the first for interim coach Alvaro Arbeloa, Vinicius was subjected to racist insults by the Albacete fans, and this was not the first time the Brazilian star had faced such attacks.

He first experienced this in June 2024 by three fans of the Valencia team during their match at Mestalla Stadium, and those three fans were then convicted and sentenced to eight months in prison.

In May 2025, a court in Valladolid condemned five fans who had directed insults at the Brazilian star during Real Madrid’s match against the local team at José Zorrilla Stadium in December 2022, sentencing each to one year in prison.

Furthermore, the Spanish National Police arrested four individuals involved in an incident of placing anti-Real Madrid banner and hanging a dummy dressed in Vinicius Junior's shirt on a bridge near the club's sports city in January 2023, before the Atletico Madrid match in the quarterfinals of the King's Cup of Spain, and they were convicted and sentenced to between 14 and 22 months in prison.
