Khaberni - The President of Ramtha Municipality, Engineer Jamal Abu Obeid, confirmed that the technical and field workforce in the municipality succeeded in addressing a structural risk threatening to collapse the main road leading to Al-Bouayda Dam and Bariqa village, emphasizing that the rapid response prevented a problem that could threaten the lives of citizens.
During a field tour to monitor the repercussions of the weather depression and the flow of rainwater, Abu Obeid said that the municipal teams noticed a dangerous erosion of the soil and foundations under the box culverts due to the powerful force of the water, making the road, which witnesses heavy traffic, susceptible to sudden collapse at any moment.
He added that he issued immediate instructions to start a comprehensive treatment process under precise engineering supervision, where the field teams worked nonstop to secure the site by reinforcing the collapse area under the culvert to ensure its structural stability, backfilling the hollowed areas to support the foundations, and eventually pouring reinforced concrete to ensure the road's resistance against strong floods descending from the dam.
