Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, announced the start of installing a metal pedestrian bridge on the Amman-Salt Road opposite the Justice Palace in Balqa Governorate, where the work will include a temporary full closure of traffic in both directions consecutively, in addition to closing the Dababneh tunnel and rerouting the traffic above it. This will commence at 3 AM on Friday, January 16, 2026, and will continue until morning hours as dictated by work requirements and weather conditions.
The ministry has prepared the traffic diversions with all the necessary safety measures and directional signs to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, urging road users to adhere to the instructions of field personnel, security forces, and to comply with safe driving rules to ensure everyone's safety at the site.
