Khaberni - The Department of Statistics issued the preliminary results of the economic indicators survey (incubation survey) for the third quarter of 2025, which showed a decrease in broiler chicken prices by 4 percent during the year 2025 compared with 2024, where the price of broiler chicken reached 1.20 dinar/kg (producer prices) in 2025 compared to 1.25 dinar/kg in the year 2024.
The results indicated an increase in the quantity of broiler chicken produced by approximately 13 percent in 2025 compared with 2024, where the production quantity reached 118.7 million tons compared with 105 million tons in 2024.
There was also a decrease in the quantity of table eggs produced, reaching 332 million eggs in 2025 compared to 349 million eggs in 2024, a decrease of 4.8 percent, and the results also showed an increase in the quantity of hatching eggs by 16.7 percent, where the quantity reached 122 million eggs in 2025 compared to 104.6 million eggs in 2024.
The price of table eggs was 0.75 fils/egg in 2025 and 0.71 fils/egg in 2024, an increase of 5.6 percent, and the results also showed an increase in the price of hatching eggs by 12.8 percent, where the price of hatching eggs reached 212 fils/egg in 2025 compared to 188 fils/egg in 2024.
