Khaberni - Middle East University began its celebrations for the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in a grand ceremony that symbolized His Majesty's status in the hearts of Jordanians, as a symbol of wisdom and balance, and as a leader of the ongoing construction journey.
The celebration was attended by the President of the University's Board of Trustees, Dr. Yaacoub Nasereddin, University President Professor Dr. Salam Al Mahadin, the University’s administration, leaders of security agencies, local community leaders, official representatives, several members of the academic and administrative staff, and a group of students.
Dr. Nasereddin congratulated His Majesty the King on the occasion of his auspicious birthday, noting that His Majesty King Abdullah II gives special attention to the youth, stemming from his firm belief that they are the renewable energy capable of accelerating the pace of modernization and development in various fields, and they are deemed the future makers
and bearers of the national development project, and an active force in shaping the features of a modern Jordan based on knowledge and innovation.
He added that His Majesty the King, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, have a significant role in modernizing and developing the educational system, which has qualitatively transformed this sector through ideas, planning, and continuous updating of the educational strategy in Jordan, adding that the discussion papers of His Majesty
the King have, on more than one occasion, discussed giving significant attention to education, and preparing students to be a tool for building and growth in the state, and real partners in the journey of comprehensive and sustainable development.
For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nasour, explained that celebrating national occasions enhances positive citizenship values among students and contributes to instilling a culture of belonging, work, and responsibility, which reflects on building a balanced university personality that combines academic excellence and national awareness.
The celebration included a diverse national and cultural program, featuring artistic and heritage segments that expressed the Jordanian identity, including artistic performances by university students, a folkloric show by the Amman Municipality troupe, along with singing sessions performed by the University Choir, in addition to a speech by the President of the Student Parliament
Ahmed Al-Sabateen.
