Khaberni - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan met on Thursday with Lebanese President Josav Aoun in Beirut.
Hassan confirmed during the meeting that Jordan stands beside Lebanon and is keen on activating cooperation between the two countries.
He pointed out that the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding is the best proof of the importance of what unites the two brotherly countries and peoples.
The Lebanese President also affirmed the importance of Arab solidarity in facing current challenges.
Aoun expressed his gratitude to Jordan for its continuous support for Lebanon in all fields, especially in supporting the army.
Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and his Lebanese counterpart Nawaf Salam witnessed the signing of 21 cooperation agreements between the two countries in various fields, following their chairmanship of the meeting of the Jordanian-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee in its eighth session, which was held in Beirut on Wednesday.
Hassan and his Lebanese counterpart had chaired the meeting of the Higher Jordanian-Lebanese Joint Committee, where the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of the understandings reached, and possible areas of future cooperation.
