555 Facebook Users in Jordan by the End of Last Year 2025

Khaberni - The number of social networking site "Facebook" users in Jordan reached 5.55 million by the end of last year 2025, according to data published in Meta's advertising resources and reported by "Al-Mamlaka".

The figures are based on analyses conducted by the global company Kepios, specializing in analyzing digital trends on behalf of the global platform DataReportal that offers free reports and analytics about global digital trends.

According to the population clock of the General Statistics Department, the population of Jordan is 11,945,398.

Kepios platform employs a methodology that seeks to "remove duplication" among social media users across different platforms.

The numbers published in Meta's tools indicate that the potential reach of Facebook advertisements in Jordan increased by 200,000 (+3.7 percent) between October 2024 and October 2025.

Meta, in a note published within its advertising planning tools, mentioned that the size of the estimated audience is not an indicator of the number of active monthly or daily users, or of the level of engagement.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority published on its website in December 2025 its statistical report for the third quarter of the year 2025 for the telecommunications sector.

The indicators pointed to an increase in the number of mobile telecommunications subscriptions reaching 8.48 million, compared to 8.26 million in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 2.6%. The number of internet subscriptions reached 824.3 thousand, compared to 799.7 thousand in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 3.1%.

The report indicated that the total subscriptions of broadband mobile telecommunications services reached 8.48 million compared to about 8.26 million subscriptions for the third quarter of the year 2024 with a growth rate of 2.6%, distributed as 65% for prepaid and 35% for postpaid subscriptions. The rate of subscriptions for voice and data lines was 80%, and data-only lines were 20%, while the volume of mobile voice traffic was approximately 7.3 billion minutes, distributed across 97% locally and 3% internationally. The number of text messages sent was about 336.6 million messages compared to approximately 333.6 million messages in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 0.9%. The prevalence rate of mobile phone subscriptions by the end of the third quarter of 2025 was 71.4% according to the total population, compared to 70.8% for the third quarter of 2024, with a prevalence rate of 110% according to the population aged over 15 years.

Furthermore, the volume of data usage through broadband mobile telecommunications services was about 767.5 million gigabytes for the third quarter compared to about 652.9 million gigabytes in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 17.6%.

The report also indicated that the number of fifth-generation mobile subscriptions continued to rise significantly in the third quarter of the year 2025, totaling 287 thousand subscriptions compared to the second quarter of 2025, which had about 241 thousand subscriptions, with a growth rate of about 19.1%, and a growth rate of 307% compared to the third quarter of 2024, which had 70 thousand subscriptions.

Regarding fixed broadband internet services, the report mentioned about 824.3 thousand subscriptions compared to a total of 799.7 thousand subscriptions in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 3.1%, and a penetration rate of 33.3% relative to the number of households for the third quarter of 2025. On the other hand, broadband internet subscriptions using FBWA technology accounted for 16%, while subscriptions for internet services using xDSL technology were 6%, and fiber technology subscriptions were 77% by the end of the third quarter, with a total of 637.4 thousand fiber internet subscriptions during the third quarter of 2025.

The volume of fixed broadband data usage was about 1.5 billion gigabytes for the third quarter of 2025 compared to 1.4 billion gigabytes for the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 7.1%, with an average monthly internet usage per subscription of 625 gigabytes, which was about 564 gigabytes in the third quarter of 2024, with a growth rate of 10.8%.

The total number of subscribers in fixed voice telecommunications services was about 478.6 thousand subscriptions for the third quarter compared to about 485.3 thousand subscriptions for the third quarter of 2024, with a decrease rate of 1.4%, representing 67% residential sector and 33% commercial sector.

Regarding the volume of voice traffic consumed by subscribers via fixed telephony, the report mentioned about 10 million minutes of calls during the third quarter compared to about 12.6 million minutes of calls for the third quarter of 2024, declining by a rate of 20.6%, covering local landline traffic between the provinces and international phone traffic with the world, distributed across local phone traffic by 83%, and 17% of call minutes for international phone traffic.
