Khaberni - Minister of Health Ibrahim Al-Badour, on Thursday, visited the National Rehabilitation Center for Addicts affiliated with the ministry, to inspect the reality of the health and therapeutic services provided to patients, and to understand the level of psychological and rehabilitation care in various sections of the center.
During his tour, Al-Badour listened to a detailed explanation from the executives at the center about the adopted therapeutic and rehabilitation programs, and the mechanisms of dealing with addiction patients, in addition to the major challenges facing the medical and nursing staff, emphasizing that enhancing the quality of mental health and addiction treatment services is a national priority to protect the community and limit the negative effects of addiction. He also engaged in discussions with patients and learned about their needs and feedback.
The Minister of Health affirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting and developing addiction treatment centers, and providing the necessary resources to enable them to perform their therapeutic and rehabilitation roles according to the best approved standards, which contributes to rehabilitating the patients and integrating them into society to improve their quality of life.
Al-Badour emphasized the importance of continuing to provide comprehensive and safe services that consider the health, psychological, and social aspects of the patients, pointing out that investing in addiction treatment is an investment in the health and stability of the community.
