Khaberni - A video clip topped social media sites in recent days, documenting a striking scene of a woman's bold intervention defending a cat that was assaulted on a street in Brazil, after a man kicked it outside a store in the municipality of Capitão Poço, which belongs to the state of Pará in the north of the country.
Surveillance cameras captured the moment the man approached the cat, which was lying on the ground, before suddenly kicking it, sending it flying away in a horrifying manner.
At that time, Jaqueline Silva Salles was outside the store, owned by her mother, and witnessed the incident. She immediately confronted the attacker, retaliating against him with a kick and a chair hit, forcing him to retreat and flee to prevent worsening the situation.
Jaqueline's intervention did not only stop the assault, but it also resulted in a happy ending for the cat, as it turned out it hadn't suffered any injuries and was later adopted by Jaqueline's family, to stay under her mother's care.
In videos she later posted on her accounts, Jaqueline expressed her deep gratitude for the extensive support she received from followers, emphasizing that her action was purely motivated by humanitarian impulses to protect a defenseless being from mistreatment.
