Khaberni - The Ministry of Water announced that the main reason for the change in water quality in the Shmeisani area of the capital Amman is due to a break in one of the main water lines, leading to the leakage of non-potable water.
The ministry confirmed that its technical teams were able to locate the leak site and took the necessary corrective measures to address the situation.
The ministry explained that efforts are underway to resolve the issue of water quality change in the area, assuring that the results of the investigations will be fully revealed in the upcoming days.
The ministry added that some water sources might be affected by the turbidity resulting from the leak, which could lead to temporary interruptions in some water distribution cycles.
As part of its efforts to provide water to the citizens in Shmeisani, the Ministry of Water collaborated with "Miyahuna" company, which enhanced its services by contracting with a contractor who owns a fleet of 60 tankers to supply the area with water, in addition to another 25 tankers from the company's fleet.
For its part, "Miyahuna" company clarified that it conducted a comprehensive survey of the area behind Shmeisani Safeway, where the area was isolated and some affected home connections were disconnected. The company also confirmed that all corrective actions are coordinated with the relevant authorities.
It is worth mentioning that the ministry continues its efforts to ensure the continuous and safe provision of water services to all citizens, with a focus on quickly dealing with any emergency situations that may arise.
