Iran Issues Airspace Closure Notice

Reuters, quoting Flight Radar, reports that Iran has issued a notice to close its airspace to all flights except those international flights that obtain permission.

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States would take "very strong measures" if the Iranian government started to execute protesters, but he did not specify what these measures would be.

Trump added in an interview with CBS News, "I haven't heard about (the executions) being by hanging. If they hang them, you will see some things... We will take very strong measures if they go ahead with such actions."

Trump also encouraged Iranian protesters to continue their movement until the authorities are overthrown, promising via his Truth Social network that "help is on the way" to them without further details.

The American president wrote: "Iranian patriots, continue your protests - take control of your institutions," adding, "I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops."
