Countries urge their citizens to leave Iran immediately

Khaberni - Countries called on Wednesday for their nationals to leave Iran due to tensions with the United States.

Iran is currently witnessing the largest anti-government demonstrations in years, at a time when the administration of US President Donald Trump is considering how to handle the situation.

Trump has urged Iranians to continue the protests and to remember the names of those who commit violations against them, saying "help is on the way"; meanwhile, Iran has accused Trump of encouraging political instability and inciting violence.

Official media quoted the commander of the aerospace forces in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Majid Mousavi, as saying that Iran's missile stockpile has increased since a 12-day war with Israel last year.

Official media quoted Mousavi as saying "we are at the peak of our readiness," adding that damages from the war had been repaired and the aerospace forces of the Revolutionary Guard production in various fields is higher than before June 2025.

The United States

A statement issued by the virtual US Embassy in Tehran said that the United States urged its citizens to leave Iran immediately and advised them to consider leaving by land to Turkey or Armenia.

The statement said, "US citizens should leave Iran now. We advise them to consider leaving Iran by land to Turkey or Armenia, if it is safe."

An American official said that the United States is withdrawing forces from its main bases in the Middle East as a precautionary measure with escalating tensions in the region.

Italy

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Rome has renewed its appeal for Italian nationals to leave Iran due to the tense security situation there.

The statement said there are about 600 Italians in Iran, most of them in the Tehran area.

Poland

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged its citizens to leave Iran immediately.

It stated on X site, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges immediate departure from Iran and advises against traveling to it at all."

United Kingdom

An informed source stated that the UK will withdraw some personnel from an airbase in Qatar, after an Iranian official warned that Tehran would target American bases if Washington directed strikes against Iran.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence said the ministry does not comment on details of positioning and deployment for security reasons.

He added, "The UK always takes precautionary measures to ensure the security and safety of its personnel, including withdrawing personnel when necessary."
