Khaberni - The Egyptian authorities announced on Wednesday the capture of a dental clinic managed by a technician who does not hold a license to practice the profession of a dentist.
In detail, the Free Treatment Administration of the Health Directorate in Dakahlia governorate launched a broad and surprise inspection campaign on various private medical facilities across the centers and cities of the governorate.
This campaign resulted in the capture of a dental clinic in Talkha city, which was found to be managed by a technician without any license to practice dental medicine and surgery, in explicit violation of the law.
Severe deficiencies in applying infection control standards and a complete absence of safe disposal mechanisms for hazardous medical waste were observed in this clinic, posing a direct threat to the health of the patients and visitors.
The competent authorities took the necessary legal actions, where an "administrative closure" decision for the offending clinic was executed, along with recording the incidents and violations found, in preparation for presentation to the public prosecutor to initiate investigations and take necessary legal actions.
On his part, Dr. Mohamed Fouad, director of the Free Treatment Administration at the Health Directorate, explained in an official statement that there is a strict emphasis on the need for all private medical facilities to conspicuously display their licenses in front of visitors, allowing citizens to verify the legality of the medical service providers.
He also urged citizens to report and communicate with the Free Treatment Administration of the Directorate in case of any suspicions of medical service providers or the presence of violations, stressing that the cooperation of citizens represents the first line of defense to maintain public health and everyone's safety.
