Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, conducted extensive discussions on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmaddin Konakovic, to discuss mechanisms for developing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the regional developments.
The ministers affirmed the depth of friendship relations between Jordan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and their mutual commitment to developing them. They agreed on an action plan that translates into practical steps to enhance and expand cooperation in economic, tourism, educational, and other vital sectors.
Safadi discussed with Konakovic developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, and they emphasized the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire in the sector, adhering to the ceasefire agreement in all its terms, and introducing sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid into Gaza. Safadi also warned of the dangers of the escalating and illegitimate Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank, which push towards an explosion of situations and undermine all calming efforts and chances of achieving peace based on the two-state solution, underlining the need to unite all efforts to halt these measures.
Safadi appreciated Bosnia and Herzegovina's supportive stance on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their Palestinian state on the basis of the two-state solution as the only way to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
Safadi and Konakovic also discussed updates on the situation in Syria and efforts to support the Syrian government in rebuilding based on foundations that ensure Syria's unity, security, sovereignty, stability, and the safety and rights of its citizens.
Safadi and Konakovic agreed to continue communication and coordination between the two countries, and they confirmed the importance of international efforts to enhance security and stability.
