Khaberni - Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan arrived in Beirut on an official working visit today, Wednesday, where he and his Lebanese counterpart Dr. Nawaf Salam will chair the eighth session of the joint Jordanian-Lebanese Higher Committee, which begins its proceedings this evening.
The Prime Minister will also meet with several senior Lebanese officials to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Upon his arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Lebanese Prime Minister and the Ambassador of the Kingdom to Lebanon, Walid Al-Hadid.
The preparatory meetings for the joint Jordanian-Lebanese Higher Committee began yesterday, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Engineer Yaarub Al-Qudah, and his Lebanese counterpart, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Al-Bassat.
