Khaberni - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan arrived today, Wednesday, in Beirut on an official working visit, where he and his Lebanese counterpart Dr. Nawaf Salam will chair the meeting of the Jordanian-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee in its eighth session, which begins its proceedings this evening.
The Prime Minister will also meet a number of senior Lebanese officials, within the framework of exploring prospects for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Upon his arrival, Lebanese Prime Minister and Ambassador of the Kingdom to Lebanon Walid al-Hadid welcomed the Prime Minister at Rafic Hariri International Airport.
The preparatory meetings for the Jordanian-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee began yesterday, presided over by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Engineer Yarub Al-Qudah, and his Lebanese counterpart, the Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Al-Basat.
