Egypt Arresting a dancer at the airport and prosecuting her criminally

Khaberni - The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided to refer the show dancer Sohar Samara to the Criminal Court, accusing her of possessing narcotics, following the capture of quantities of marijuana and hashish oil in her possession.

The security personnel at Cairo International Airport were suspicious of Sohar upon her arrival on a flight from Frankfurt Airport, Germany, which prompted them to search her bags, where they found narcotics listed on the prohibited items list.

In the investigations, the accused denied knowing about the seized items, insisting that she thought the seized material was "an oil used in vaping devices," and not a narcotic substance.

Accurate intelligence information received by the General Administration for Drug Control indicated that the dancer possessed narcotics during her return from Germany. Following this, coordination between the Drug Control Administration, the Cairo Airport Investigation Department, and customs was made, resulting in the successful operation and the capture of the suspect in the act.
