The King emphasizes the need to adhere to the implementation of the Gaza war cessation agreement

Khaberni  - His Majesty King Abdullah II met today, Wednesday, with the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defense Helen McEntee, in the presence of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

The meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace, discussed the depth of relations between Jordan and Ireland and ways to enhance them in various fields, serving both friendly peoples and achieving stability in the region.

His Majesty the King emphasized the importance of enhancing the strategic partnership with the European Union, pointing to the importance of building on the outcomes of the first Jordan-European Union summit held in Amman last week.

The meeting addressed the overall regional and international developments, where His Majesty emphasized the need to commit to implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza, warned of the dangers of escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and appreciated Ireland's positions in support of the just and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi, the Director of His Majesty's Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the Irish Ambassador to Jordan, Marianne Bolger.
