Khaberni - Anmar Al-Haili, the former president of Al-Ittihad Jeddah, revealed details of a huge offer he presented for the contract with Argentine star Lionel Messi, player of Inter Miami, confirming his readiness to offer an exceptional unprecedented contract.
Al-Haili stated in remarks carried by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," that he was ready to give Messi complete freedom in determining the value and duration of his contract, even if it amounted to signing a lifetime contract, emphasizing that the motive was not as much financial as it was a desire to include one of the greatest football players in history.
He clarified that having Messi in the Al-Ittihad Jeddah jersey represented not so much an economic investment but a sports dream, considering that having a player of Messi's stature was a moral and historical gain for the club.
Al-Haili pointed out that this was not the first attempt, as he had previously reached out to Messi after the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, offering him an annual deal worth about 1.4 billion, but the player preferred at that time to move to the United States based on his family's wishes.
The former president of Al-Ittihad Jeddah confirmed his full respect for Messi's decision, stressing that the club's doors would always remain open for him whenever he wishes to come.
For its part, the Spanish newspaper clarified that Messi currently does not consider moving to the Roshen League in his plans, especially after renewing his contract with Inter Miami last October.
