Sherine's victory came amid strong competition that included artists from Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco, within the framework of an African musical event considered the largest of its kind on the continent, aiming to celebrate cultural and musical diversity in 36 different categories.

List of Nominees
The list of nominees for the award included names such as Jannat, Sherine Lajmi, Inez, Manal, Gilan, Mariam Aboul Wafa, and Zeina Daoudia, before Sherine clinched the title for herself, and the "AFRIMA" festival congratulated the Egyptian artist via its official account, praising her brilliance and artistic presence.

Mauritanian Win in the Best Male Singer in North Africa Category
Mauritanian artist Advisor won the award, advancing over a number of Arab stars, including Amr Diab, Mohamed Ramadan, Hamza Namira, and WEGZ, along with artists from Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria.

Despite losing this category, Amr Diab managed to win the Singer of the Year award, after competing in four main categories for his album "Ibtedaina", continuing his strong presence in African music forums.

An artistic crown amid controversy and questions
This crowning comes at a time when the artistic and media scene is witnessing increasing questions about the health of Sherine Abdel Wahab, following news of her moving to live in the house of a well-known artist, in a step described as an attempt to provide better psychological support and care during the current stage.

And recently, the head of the acting profession, Ashraf Zaki, confirmed that the artist's health condition is stable, but she prefers to stay away from public appearances and social media at this time, indicating that the syndicate and the Ministry of Solidarity are monitoring her situation.

In the same context, the poet Tamer Hussein called for providing institutional medical care for the artist, considering that her recovery requires precise supervision and continuous follow-up, to ensure safely overcoming this stage.
