AlZaytoonah University of Jordan Secures Third Place in Amman Private University 3x3 Basketball Championship for Female Student

Khaberni - Within its university sports participations, the Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan women's basketball team 3×3 participated in the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation championship, hosted by Amman Private University with the participation of eight official and private universities.

The results of the first round led to the qualification of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team for the second group alongside Yarmouk University, University of Science and Technology, and Amman Private University (A), where the team presented outstanding levels and performance that enabled them to qualify to the quarterfinals, continuing their successful journey to the semifinals.

The team showed strong performance characterized by fighting spirit and high cohesion among players, with notable contributions from player Sura Shouli, penetrations by Zaina Soman, follow-ups by Farah Al-Eidah, and Liyan Al-Shamayleh, alongside the exceptional defensive performance by Shahd Al-Attari, Nozat Al-Ladawi, Reemas Abdel Hadi, and Marah Al-Jabari, in addition to the technical and managerial efforts by the supervising staff.

In the semifinal match that brought together Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan with Amman Private University (B), the encounter was competitive and intense until the final moments, but some mistakes contributed to deciding the outcome in favor of the opposing team, thus Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team secured the third place in the championship.

At the end of the championship, the president of Amman Private University awarded the bronze medals and the third-place trophy to the players of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team, in appreciation of their distinctive participation and honorable performance in the competition.

On the sidelines of the championship, a friendly match was held that brought together Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team with Amman Private University basketball team/students, aimed at maintaining technical readiness of the teams, evaluating performance levels, and addressing technical observations in preparation for upcoming official championships.

The encounter featured closely matched technical levels, high competitiveness, and notable audience presence, ending with a win for Amman Private University team with a score of (6053), reflecting the high sportsmanship and positive competition between the two sides.

This encounter is part of a series of preparatory matches that Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team is keen to play, with the aim of enhancing technical and physical readiness and enriching field experiences of the players, positively reflecting on their upcoming participations in official university championships.
