Hebrew Channel 12 reveals Israels preparations for the upcoming war with Iran

Khaberni - Israel has elevated its security alert to the highest level recently, coinciding with the American president's statements about protests in Iran, according to Israeli media.

This measure comes amid expectations of a possible US strike on Iran, with the protests expanding and Tehran being accused of killing demonstrators. Israeli security sources confirmed, according to channel 12, that the question is no longer "if Washington will act militarily?", but "when will the action take place?".

The Israeli security apparatus fears that Tel Aviv could be targeted by Iran in retaliation for any American attack. A senior defense official told Israeli channel 12: "Iran’s reaction depends on the scale of the American operation. A limited operation may not affect us, but a large-scale one will provoke a response we are preparing for, defensively or offensively."

Israel is preparing not only internally defensively but also to protect its global interests such as embassies and Jewish communities, where the alert level has reached its peak.

The political-security cabinet met yesterday evening, Tuesday, where ministers received intelligence reports about Iran and all possible scenarios.

Israel had waged a war against Iran in June, which lasted 12 days, beginning with a wide-ranging attack on Iran's senior military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites, and ballistic missile program. Israel justified the attack as necessary to prevent the Islamic Republic from executing its plan to build nuclear weapons and to destroy the Jewish state.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation "Kan", Israel believes that US President Donald Trump will carry out his threat to attack, leading to another war between Israel and Iran.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summoned former Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer to attend a meeting on Sunday with senior ministers and security officials, as the United States considers possible actions, according to channel 12.

The channel reported that consulting Dermer was due to the critical decisions that might be taken by the Trump administration concerning Iran. Dermer, who has been close to Netanyahu for a long time and resigned from his position in November, was responsible for overseeing relations with the Trump administration.
