Khaberni - Jordan won the position of the First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports and the presidency of the Technical Youth Committee assisting the Council for the next session.
This came during the participation of the Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Adwan, in the 49th session meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports in Cairo.
The Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports held elections for the Executive Office, which resulted in Minister Adwan winning the position of First Deputy Chairman with 19 votes out of 22, and Dr. Adwan also won the presidency of the Technical Youth Committee assisting the Council for the next session.
Dr. Adwan expressed his pride in the confidence he was entrusted with by holding the position of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, in addition to his presidency of the Technical Youth Committee assisting the Council, which reflects the status that Jordan holds in the Arab youth and sports sector.
He said that this responsibility represents an opportunity to enhance the joint Arab action in the field of youth and to develop policies and programs that respond to their aspirations and keep up with rapid changes, especially in the fields of empowerment, innovation, and participation in public life.
He added that Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, gives the youth sector utmost priority, and believes in the role of youth in all areas of political, economic, social, and cultural life, where youth are a fundamental pillar within the pathways and visions of political, economic, and administrative modernization.
He emphasized the importance of transferring and sharing the Jordanian youth experience with Arab Ministries of Youth and Sports, which contributes to enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences, achieving comprehensive and sustainable development at the Arab level.
Dr. Adwan mentioned that the upcoming phase will witness enhanced coordination between the Arab Ministries of Youth and Sports and the launching of quality initiatives that serve the Arab youth and open wider horizons for their creativity, participation, and leadership.
