Jordan Condemns BenGvirs Raid on AlAqsa Mosque

Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs strongly condemns the raid by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif under the protection of the occupation police as a blatant violation of the existing legal and historical status of Al-Haram Al-Sharif, desecration of its sanctity, and an escalation and provocation that is unacceptable, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Muslim and Christian holy sites.

‏The ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, expressed the kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the continued raids by the extremist minister Ben-Gvir and the facilitation of these ongoing raids on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif by the Israeli occupation police, considering them provocative and inciteful acts aiming to impose new realities in Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif through attempts to divide it temporally and spatially, warning of the consequences of continuing these provocative violations of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

‏Al-Majali demanded that Israel, as the occupying power, stop all provocative practices by the extremist minister which are a continuation of the Israeli government's extremist policy aimed at continuing dangerous escalations and unilateral measures in the occupied West Bank and violating the sanctity of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.

‏Al-Majali renewed the confirmation that the entire area of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which spans 144 dunams, is solely a place of worship for Muslims. The Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department under the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites is the legal authority exclusively responsible for managing the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif and organizing entry into it.
