Khaberni - The relevant authorities closed the Jeba subsidiary street in Jerash Governorate on Tuesday, following the rise of water levels above the bridge due to the flow of Zarqa Stream’s waters.
Jerash governor Malek Khreisat stated that the street was closed to preserve public safety due to the rising water levels of Zarqa Stream above the bridge, according to Al-Mamlaka.
Khreisat added that Jerash police forces are present at the site to prevent picnickers from approaching the stream course, indicating that a number of police patrols are in place.
He explained that a vehicle that had been parked on the side of the road for several days and was unoccupied has been submerged by the stream’s waters.
