Khaberni - The Damascus and Countryside Industry Chamber has restructured the Cinema and Television Industry Committee in accordance with the provisions of the chamber’s internal system approved by the decision of the Minister of Industry No. /2005/ dated 30-4-2005.
The restructuring took place based on a letter from the Deputy Chairman of the Damascus and Countryside Industry Chamber, Ghassan Al-Kasm, who oversees the Cinema and Television Industry Committee, registered under number 25 dated 8/1/2026.
The committee was composed of Ghassan Al-Kasm as General Supervisor and Manager, Ali Aneez as Chairman, Nidal Al-Habbal as Vice-Chairman representing the Ministry of Information, Mohammad Reda Halabi as Vice-Chairman, Nabil Daqqak as Secretary, Abdullah Hamoudo as Treasurer, and members including Tamam Salameh, Mohammad Shweiki, Ibrahim Melhem, Mohammad Taimi, Tony Sroubian, Jenny Asber, Khaled Ziad Molawi.
Huda Saad was also appointed as Director of the Public Relations Office, with Firas Al-Jajeh, Sami Qarmosha and Wael Shehadeh as advisors, in addition to Ahmad Qatrieb representing the Ministry of Culture.
The main goals of the committee are to combat competition from other countries in the drama market, to smooth obstacles facing production companies, to obtain necessary support for production activity, to listen to producers' requests, and to advance the artistic quality of the drama and cinema industry.
