Khaberni - Local Administration Minister Walid Al-Masri confirmed that the government allocated 20 million dinars to address hotspots, noting that floods occur in all regions of the world, and that some areas will be addressed immediately after the current weather depression ends.
Al-Masri talked about the ministry's efforts in preparing quantities of sandbags to protect homes from water in the village of Iraq Al-Karak, in addition to addressing a set of culverts as temporary solutions, explaining that the lack of sufficient time between depressions currently hampers maintenance operations.
Al-Masri also confirmed that there is no "conflict or dispute" between the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Local Administration regarding powers and responsibilities, and that all agencies work to serve the citizens and that what matters to the citizens is that no damage occurs to their properties.
