Khaberni - In a satirical post on the "Truth Social" platform, American President Donald Trump appointed himself as the temporary ruler of Venezuela.

Trump posted a picture from Wikipedia under the title «Acting President of Venezuela», sarcastically hinting at the legitimacy of Delcy Rodriguez, Vice President to Nicolas Maduro, who took over power after the arrest of him and his wife on January 3rd by a special American force.

In this context, Trump stated that his administration is working well with the temporary Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez, expressing his openness to meet with her.

Trump told reporters aboard the presidential aircraft: «Things are going well with Venezuela, and we are working very well with the leadership».

In response to a question about whether he intends to meet Rodriguez, who was the vice president to Nicolas Maduro, he said: «At some point I will do that».

The temporary Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez stated on her X account that «the government needs to maintain political sovereign power to defend the country».

The U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that the role of the United States in overseeing the situation in Venezuela for a subsequent transfer of power may continue for years.

In response to a question from CBS television about the duration of the current U.S. role in Venezuela, the minister added: «Maybe a year or two, or perhaps more».
