Suspicious Object Forces Trumps Motorcade to Change Route

Khaberni - The motorcade of US President Donald Trump had to take an unusual route while leaving the state of Florida last Sunday, after a suspicious object was detected during security procedures preceding his arrival at Palm Beach International Airport, according to the White House.

White House spokeswoman Carolyn Levitt stated in an official release that the suspicious object was discovered during routine security sweep operations at Palm Beach International Airport, necessitating an additional field investigation and precautionary measures including altering the presidential motorcade's route to ensure safety.

Levitt added to American media that the route change was merely a precautionary measure, emphasizing that this step is part of the security protocols followed in such situations.

Trump left his club, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach around 6:20 PM, with the trip to the airport taking about 10 minutes. However, the motorcade took a circular route around the city instead of the usual route.

During the trip, the police imposed a mobile security cordon using motorcycles to secure the motorcade, amid heightened security measures, while the presidential plane "Air Force One" was parked at an unusual site within the airport.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the US Secret Service clarified that the route change was purely a precautionary measure, emphasizing that it is standard protocol in case anything unusual is detected, confirming that no direct threat was recorded.

When journalists asked about the nature of the suspicious object, Trump said he didn't know anything about it, as he left for the capital Washington without significant delay, after the security procedures were completed.
