Khaberni - Minister of Local Administration Walid Al-Masri, inspected early Tuesday, the central operations room at the ministry, to monitor the developments of the low pressure that started impacting the northern and central regions of the kingdom, and to review the readiness level and the measures taken in the municipalities, joint service councils, and municipal affairs directorates.
The minister stressed during his direct communication with the field teams via the operations room, the importance of correct deployment in all municipal areas, monitoring hotspots and water runoff routes, and the full readiness of personnel and equipment for a quick response to any emergencies.
Al-Masry emphasized the need to intensify fieldwork and continuous coordination with the emergency rooms and all relevant entities in the regions including administrative governors, civil defense, ministry of public works, and ministry of water, contributing to the protection of citizens' lives and properties during the impacts of the low pressure.
Al-Masry confirmed that all teams in the field are monitoring the weather condition around the clock, where he warned of the formation of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, urging the citizens to comply with the instructions to ensure public safety.
