Khaberni - The head of the Board of Commissioners of the Petra Region Development and Tourism Authority, Fares Al-Breizat, decided to delay the working hours for the authority's employees on Tuesday to 9 AM due to the expected weather conditions.
According to the authority's Board of Commissioners, the decision excludes employees whose work nature requires their presence at their workplaces during the usual working hours, in addition to emergency teams.
The kingdom will be affected by a weather depression on Monday night, centered over the island of Cyprus, turning the weather very cold and partly to mostly cloudy. Rain will fall in the northern parts of the kingdom and gradually extend to the central regions, where the rain is expected to be sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to the formation of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas. The precipitation will extend late at night to limited parts of the southwestern regions, with strong westerly winds accompanied by strong gusts reaching speeds of (70-60) km/hour.
