Khaberni - A member of the Greater Amman Municipality Council, Engineer Qamar Al-Nablusi, announced that the residents of Shmeisani area, who have been affected by the change in water quality and its interruption, are considering going to court and filing a criminal case against our water company (Jordan Water Company).
Al-Nablusi, in a post on her personal Facebook page, stated that after consulting experienced and competent lawyers, an agreement was reached among a number of affected residents to take the necessary legal action against the company.
She explained that our water company is the operational arm of the Jordanian Water Authority, responsible for managing and operating water sources and networks, water distribution, and sewage treatment in its service areas, affirming that the legal step was a result of the damages that affected the residents of the area.
Al-Nablusi called on the affected residents of Shmeisani who wish to join the lawsuit to contact her, in preparation for proceeding with the necessary legal actions.
