Saudi Arabia The Prohibition of The Beautiful Names of Allah on Bags and Immediate Removal of NonCompliant Prints

Khaberni - The Federation of Chambers of Commerce in Saudi Arabia urged all commercial establishments to prohibit the printing or writing of the Beautiful Names of Allah on bags and plastic and paper containers, based on directives from the Saudi Ministry of Commerce aimed at protecting the sanctity of the divine entity.

The instructions emphasized the necessity for immediate removal of any current prints that contradict the directive, warning stores and factories against the continued printing of Quranic verses or the divine entity on perishable materials.

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce also referred to a previous circular issued in the years 1407 AH and 1415 AH about the “preventive prohibition” of any practices that could lead to the disrespect of religious texts. The commercial chambers alerted business owners to immediately review the designs of their packaging and adopt marketing alternatives that respect public taste and religious guidelines.

This comes in response to fatwas issued by the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta, which resolved the stance by prohibiting the placement of Allah's names and attributes in any position that exposes them to disrespect or desecration.
