The King sponsors the launch of the governmental executive program for the years 20262029

Khaberni  - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, sponsored the launch of the governmental executive program for the years (2026-2029) at the Prime Minister's headquarters, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan stated during the launch that His Majesty's patronage of the program's launch puts a responsibility on the government to implement it, which will positively reflect on the citizens.

Hassan explained that the executive program for the economic modernization vision includes 392 projects that will be financed in partnership with the private sector, noting that the investment value of the program, through partnership with the private sector, will reach around 10 billion dinars over the program’s duration, some of which will begin its tendering and implementation this year, especially in the sectors of energy, water, transport, and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister noted that there are major investments to be made by the government through capital spending in the health and education sectors, as these are among the highest priorities for the citizens and are also essential to enable young people for the future.

Regarding the public sector modernization, the Prime Minister emphasized that without an efficient and effective public administration, economic programs cannot succeed. Therefore, the ongoing development in the public administration sector, which involves more than a quarter of a million employees, is fundamental and ongoing. He pointed out the direction towards establishing the National Academy of Public Administration, which will play a significant role in preparing a device capable of providing the best service to citizens, in addition to the diligent work on the comprehensiveness of digitization programs in this sector.

Concerning the axis of social protection, Hassan pointed out that the implementation of the national strategy for social protection, which was launched a few months ago, lies at the heart of the government's concern. He added that it aims to empower the targeted groups through multiple programs, such as including all beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund in health insurance programs, and the government has also begun including them in the insurance program at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

In this context, the Prime Minister announced that His Majesty the King directed the government to increase the allocations of the University Student Support Fund by five million dinars, making the total allocations for the fund this year 40 million dinars, which will open the door for thousands of students to benefit from the additional grants provided.

Several concerned ministers spoke about the features of the executive programs for the economic modernization vision and the roadmap for public sector modernization, and highlighted the major projects to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and improve governmental procedures, as well as the strategic vision of social protection aimed at expanding the umbrella of social protection programs across various categories.

The launch of the second executive program for the economic modernization vision was based on sectoral workshops hosted by the Royal Hashemite Court last year, followed by interactive work sessions held by the Prime Minister's office, with the participation of experts and specialists from both the public and private sectors. Similarly, the government held workshops to prepare the second executive program for the public sector modernization roadmap.

The launch was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Al-Issawi, the Director of His Majesty the King's Office, Alaa Batayneh, and a number of officials and representatives of the private sector and the media.
