The King sponsors the launch of the Governments Executive Program for the years 20262029

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, sponsored the launch of the Government's Executive Program for the years (2026-2029), at the Prime Minister’s office, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan stated during the launch that the King's sponsorship of the Executive Program puts the government under the responsibility to execute it in a way that positively reflects on the citizens.

Hassan explained that the Executive Program for the Economic Modernization Vision includes 392 projects that will be financed in partnership with the private sector, pointing out that the investment value in the program will reach about 10 billion dinars during the program's implementation period. Some of these projects will start their tenders and implementation this year, especially in the sectors of energy, water, transport, and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister noted that there are significant investments to be made by the government through capital expenditure in the health and education sectors, considering them among the top priorities for citizens, and they are also essential for empowering youth for the future.

Regarding the public sector update, the Prime Minister confirmed that without a competent and effective public administration, economic programs cannot succeed. Therefore, the ongoing development in the public administration sector, which involves more than a quarter of a million employees, is fundamental and ongoing. He also mentioned the establishment of the National Academy of Public Administration, which will play an important role in preparing an apparatus capable of providing the best service to citizens, in addition to the continuous work on the comprehensiveness of digitization programs in this sector.

In terms of social protection, Hassan mentioned that executing the national strategy for social protection, launched a few months ago, is at the core of the government's focus, adding that it aims to empower the targeted groups through various programs, such as including all beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund in health insurance programs, which also began to include them in the insurance program at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

In this context, the Prime Minister announced that His Majesty the King directed the government to increase the allocations of the University Student Support Fund by five million dinars, bringing the total allocations of the fund for this year to 40 million dinars, which opens the door for thousands of students to benefit from the additional scholarships provided.

Several ministers discussed the features of the executive programs for the Economic Modernization Vision and the roadmap for updating the public sector, highlighting the major projects to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and develop government procedures, as well as the strategic vision of social protection, aimed at expanding the umbrella of various social protection programs.

The launch of the second Executive Program for the Economic Modernization Vision is based on sectoral workshops held last year by the Royal Hashemite Court, followed by interactive work sessions held by the Prime Ministry, with the participation of experts and specialists from both the public and private sectors; similar workshops were also held by the government to prepare the second executive program for the public sector modernization roadmap.

The launch was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Al-Issawi, the Director of His Majesty's Office, Alaa Batayneh, along with several officials, representatives of the private sector, and media personnel.
