Hassan The King directed the government to increase the allocations for the Student Support Fund

Khaberni  - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan said that His Majesty King Abdullah II directed the government to increase the allocations of the university student support fund by five million dinars.

This came during the sponsorship of His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday, the launch of the government's executive program for the years 2026-2029 at the Prime Ministry, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

Hassan added that the total allocations of the university student support fund thus increased to 40 million dinars this year, paving the way for thousands of students to benefit from the additional grants it offers.

He explained that the executive program for the economic modernization vision includes 392 projects that will be funded in partnership with the private sector, pointing out that the investment value in the program will reach about 10 billion dinars through the partnership during the program's execution period, part of which will start its tendering and implementation this year, especially in the sectors of energy, water, transport, and infrastructure.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that there are significant investments that the government will undertake through capital expenditure in the health and education sectors, considering them among the top priorities of citizens, and they are also essential for empowering youth for the future.

In relation to the public sector update, the Prime Minister assured that without an efficient and effective public administration, economic programs cannot succeed, thus the ongoing development in the public administration sector, which concerns more than a quarter of a million employees, is fundamental and ongoing. He highlighted the initiative to establish the National Academy for Public Administration, which will play a significant role in preparing an apparatus capable of offering the best service to citizens, in addition to the diligent work on the inclusiveness of digitalization programs in this sector.

Regarding the social protection axis, Hassan pointed out that implementing the national strategy for social protection, which was launched a few months ago, is at the core of the government's concern, adding that it focuses on empowering targeted groups through multiple programs, such as including all beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund in health insurance programs, which the government has also started to include in the insurance program at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
