How many matches will Mohamed Salah miss for Liverpool after Egypt qualifies for the African Nations semifinals

Khaberni - Mohamed Salah's journey with the Egypt national team continues in the 2025 African Nations Cup after reaching the semi-finals, which increases the number of matches he will miss with his club Liverpool.

The Egyptian national team will play at least two additional matches in the 2025 African Nations Cup, even if they lose to Senegal in the semi-final match that will take place on the evening of next Wednesday.

Egypt's victory over Ivory Coast in the quarterfinals secures "the Pharaohs" two additional matches in the tournament.

The semi-final match is scheduled for January 14, and even if Salah and his teammates are ousted at this stage, they will have to play in the third-place match against the loser of the other semi-final between Nigeria and Morocco.

The third-place match will take place on January 17, while the final will be played on January 18.

Thus, Mohamed Salah will definitely miss Liverpool's match in the third round of the FA Cup against Barnsley this Monday, as well as his absence from the match against Burnley in the Premier League at the end of next week.

It also seems unlikely that the Egyptian star will be available for Liverpool's match against Marseille in the Champions League on January 21.

Accordingly, Mohamed Salah will miss at least 3 additional matches with Liverpool after Egypt's national team reached the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup.
