Rapid Support Rallies and the Sudanese Army Prepares

Khaberni - Military sources reported that the air fighters belonging to the Sudanese Army forces have dealt with military targets belonging to Rapid Support in the surrounding axes of Al-Ubayyid, the capital of North Kordofan state, during the past hours.

It was mentioned that the Rapid Support forces deployed hundreds of combat vehicles towards the axes of Abu Sonun, Aldabaibat, Bara, and Al-Khoui during the past 48 hours, aiming to prevent any movement of the army forces from Al-Ubayyid and its surrounding areas and to intensify pressure on them from 3 directions.

Last night (Sunday), the Rapid Support forces pushed additional reinforcements towards the Al-Khoui axis west of Al-Ubayyid, coming from the areas of Al-Taboon, Al-Udiya, and Rahd Ankush in West Kordofan.

A military commander announced that the Sudanese Army forces are on full alert to deal with any advance by Rapid Support in the various Kordofan axes, confirming the monitoring of all intrusions and movements of these forces and dealing with them decisively.

On the political front, the Prime Minister of Sudan, Kamel Idris, started his duties in Khartoum for the second day after the announcement of the government's official return to the capital for the first time since the outbreak of war.

In December 2025, the Rapid Support forces extended eastward in the oil-rich Kordofan region, which is divided into three states, after they controlled Al-Fashir, the last army stronghold in the Darfur region of western Sudan, at the end of last October.

The vast Kordofan region, known for agriculture and livestock breeding, constitutes a strategic link for the movement of military units and at the logistical level, as it lies between areas controlled by the army to the north, east, central, and Darfur.
