Khaberni - The President of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Professor Dr. Atef Kharabsheh, decided to postpone all the final exams scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 13, due to the expected weather conditions.
The university president also decided to suspend the staff's workday, excluding those whose nature of work requires otherwise, in coordination with their managers.
The university's spokesperson said that the decision is made out of concern for the safety of the students and staff, noting that all exams scheduled for Tuesday will be postponed to be held at the same times and places on Sunday, January 25.
The kingdom will be affected by a weather depression on Monday night centered over Cyprus, turning the weather very cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with rainfall in the northern part of the kingdom gradually extending to the central regions. The rain may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to flash floods in valleys and low areas. The rainfall will extend late at night to limited parts of the southwestern regions, and the westerly winds will be active, accompanied by strong gusts reaching speeds of (60-70) km/h.
