Director of Public Security meets Syrian Justice Minister to discuss enhancing mutual cooperation

Khaberni  - The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obeidallah Al-Maaytah, received today, Monday at the Directorate building, the Minister of Justice of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mazhar Al-Wais and his accompanying delegation, where discussions were held on ways to enhance mutual cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests and contributes to upholding the rule of law and achieving justice.

Major General Al-Maaytah affirmed that the Directorate of Public Security, under the wise Hashemite leadership guidelines, is committed to enhancing partnerships with law enforcement agencies in brotherly and friendly nations, particularly in the fields of developing the judicial and legal work system according to best practices, which enhances security and stability and elevates the services provided to the community.

On his part, the Syrian Minister of Justice praised the advanced status that Jordan enjoys in the fields of security, justice, and the rule of law, appreciating the efforts made by the Directorate of Public Security, especially in the field of restorative justice and the employment of digital solutions to simplify litigation procedures.

In a related context, the visiting delegation toured the Administration of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers, and were introduced to the philosophy of reform and the rehabilitation programs and care provided to inmates within an integrated reformative approach that respects human rights and promotes opportunities for reintegration into society.
