The General Statistics Department released its monthly report on the general index for industrial production quantities, which noted an increase in industrial production quantities for the first 11 months of the year 2025, by a rate of 1.44 percent compared with the same period in 2024.
On a monthly level, the general index for industrial production quantities rose by 1.38 percent in November 2025 compared to the corresponding month in 2024, and increased by 0.74 percent compared with October of the same year. The base year was revised to be (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
The index for industrial production quantities for the first 11 months of the year 2025 amounted to 88.90 percentage points versus 87.63 for the same period in 2024, while the index for the past November was 88.92 percentage points versus 87.71 for the same month in 2024.
The index for industrial production quantities for this past November accounted for 88.92 versus 88.26 compared to the preceding October.
Comparing the cumulative index for the first 11 months of last year with the same period in 2024, the quantities of production in the manufacturing industries sector increased by 1.34 percent, which has a relative importance of 88.7 percent, and the quantities of production in the extractive industries sector increased by 0.99 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.4 percent; while the quantities of production of electricity increased by 2.91 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.9 percent.
The general index for industrial production quantities for the past November compared with the same month in 2024 rose due to an increase in production quantities in the manufacturing industries sector by 0.74 percent, which has a relative importance of 88.7 percent, and production quantities in the extractive industries sector by 16.06 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.4 percent, whereas the production quantities in the electricity sector decreased by 1.33 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.9 percent.
Comparing the index for November 2025 with October of the same year, the production quantities of the manufacturing industries sector increased by 1.04 percent, which has a relative importance of 88.7 percent, and the production quantities of the extractive industries sector increased by 0.62 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.4 percent; while the production quantities of the electricity sector decreased by 3.50 percent, which has a relative importance of 5.9 percent.
The calculation of the index for industrial production quantities is based on a selected sample from the survey of industrial establishments, which includes about 300 establishments, and its data is collected on a monthly basis.
