Khaberni - The Ministry of Environment has called on citizens to cooperate in preserving environmental cleanliness and natural resources, and to instill a culture of shared environmental responsibility, which contributes to protecting public health and enhancing environmental sustainability for future generations.
The Ministry also invited participation in national cleanliness and tree planting campaigns, and to report any practices that harm the environment, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to implement educational and regulatory programs aimed at protecting natural resources and improving the quality of life across the kingdom.
The Ministry has established a hotline (117119) and contact numbers through WhatsApp, in addition to communication channels across all its official websites and messages from its pages on social media platforms, to receive complaints and reports from citizens about any environmental violations or transgressions, including cases of random waste dumping, as part of the executive program to reduce random waste dumping.
The Ministry has confirmed that these channels enable citizens to report environmental violations and attach reports with photos or videos, which contributes to quick verification and response and the taking of necessary legal actions against violators in accordance with applicable environmental legislation.
The Ministry clarified that complaints are received through several channels, including: the Ministry of Environment's hotline (117119), WhatsApp numbers for reporting violations: 0790861998 / 0781801143, the official website of the Ministry (moenv.gov.jo), and messages from the Ministry's official pages on social media platforms.
The Ministry pointed out that complaints are received around the clock, with a guarantee of confidential handling, reaffirming that citizen participation is a fundamental element in the success of the executive program, enhancing environmental oversight, and reducing practices that damage the environment and public health.
