Khaberni - Oil prices continued their rise on Monday amid escalating fears that intensifying protests in Iran could disrupt supplies from the OPEC member country, but efforts to quickly resume oil exports from Venezuela are limiting the price increase.
Brent crude futures climbed 31 cents or 0.49% to $63.65 per barrel by 0006 GMT, while West Texas Intermediate crude rose 30 cents or 0.51% to $59.42 per barrel.
Both crudes gained more than 3% last week, marking their biggest weekly gain since October, as Tehran intensified its crackdown on the largest protests since 2022.
