Khaberni - In a touching human scene that received wide interaction on social media, a video of an Indian girl from Mumbai taking her grandfather and grandmother to see the sea for the first time in their lives spread, a simple moment that sparked wide reactions among followers.
The video, posted by the young woman Divya Tawde on her Instagram account, documented the elderly couple's first encounter with the sea, after decades of only knowing this scene from stories and hearsay.
Both the grandfather and grandmother were seen standing at the edge of the beach in traditional clothing, smiling serenely while the waves touched their feet, soon holding each other's hands in a scene described by followers as pure and full of love.
Divya explained in her comment that it was not just a beach outing or a recreational trip, but fulfilling a long-awaited wish, and wrote "I took my grandfather and grandmother to see the sea for the first time in their lives... Watching them touch the water was a sincere reminder of the meaning of pure faith.. Some moments stay in the heart forever".
According to her, the grandparents had spent most of their life in a village far from the Indian coasts, where travel or entertainment were not life priorities, as they were busy with hard work and daily responsibilities, and striving to secure a better future for their children, at the expense of simple personal dreams like seeing the sea at least once in their lifetime.
The video also sparked a wide discussion about the generation gap, especially regarding the opportunities for travel and mobility, while the youth of today in cities enjoy greater freedom to explore the world, such experiences were out of reach for many in the past, not for lack of desire, but due to life circumstances and limited choices.
