Khaberni - The media director of the Aleppo Health Directorate, Munir Al-Mohammad, confirmed that the number of victims due to the targeting of residential areas by the QSD organization reached 24 killed and 129 injured, according to what was reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
In the recent period, the QSD organization has used the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo as bases for its repeated attacks on the positions of the Syrian army and the internal security forces, including targeting civilians in neighboring areas, which prompted the army to respond to the sources of fire to protect the residents and declared both neighborhoods as a military zone. Meanwhile, the government facilitated the evacuation of residents through two secure humanitarian corridors.
The Syrian Army's Operations Authority announced on Sunday the cessation of all military operations inside the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo, and secured the safe return of residents after clearing Sheikh Maqsoud completely of mines and explosives that were present in the positions of the QSD organization. The armed members of the QSD organization entrenched in the neighborhood were also relocated to northeastern Syria.
