The Best Supplications for the Night of Isra and Miraj 2026

Khaberni - The Night of Isra and Mi'raj occurs annually, imbued with spirituality, and Muslims are keen to know its date, the rules of fasting, and the best supplications for it.

Date of the Night of Isra and Mi'raj 2026
The anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj falls on the 27th of Rajab every Hijri year. According to astronomical calculations, the Night of Isra and Mi'raj for the year 2026 is expected to coincide with the evening of Thursday, January 15 until the dawn of Friday, January 16, 2026, though the final confirmation depends on the legitimate sighting of the moon of Rajab.

Ruling on fasting on the day of Isra and Mi'raj
Scholars agree that there is no authentic text from the Prophet ﷺ specifically associating the day of Isra and Mi'raj with obligatory fasting or specific prayers. Therefore, fasting on this day is not a confirmed Sunnah, and there is no harm in fasting voluntarily, especially if it coincides with a Muslim's usual practice of fasting like during the white days, or Mondays and Thursdays.

Best supplication for the Night of Isra and Mi'raj 2026
No specific supplication is confirmed for this night, still, scholars recommend abundant supplication and remembrance of Allah and prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ, due to the magnificent meanings of the night. Among the comprehensive supplications recommended are:

O Allah, forgive our sins, widen our hearts, grant us closeness to You, bless us in our lives and our deeds, and make us among Your righteous servants.

O Allah, make us among those servants whom You encompass with Your mercy and kindness.

O Allah, make the Quran the light of our hearts, the illumination of our chests, and the dissipation of our concerns.

O Allah, forgive us our sins, purify our records, and accept our deeds.

O Allah, establish us firmly upon Your religion, and guide us to follow the Sunnah of Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in word and deed.

O Allah, grant us Your love, the love of those who love You, and the love of every deed that brings us closer to You.

O Allah, make us among the righteous whom You are pleased with and have pleased.

O Allah, grant us the best of this world and the hereafter, and avert all harms from us.

O Allah, protect us by Your guarding, and watch over us with Your vigilant eye that never sleeps.

O Allah, make us among those who remember You in secrecy and public.

O Allah, grant us love for the people of obedience, and make us a reason for the righteousness of those we love.

O Allah, make us of those who hear the word and follow the best of it.

O Allah, make us among the people of justice and equity on Earth.

O Allah, fill our hearts with Your remembrance, and make us among those who rejoice in Your proximity.

O Allah, grant us humility, avert from us arrogance and vanity.

O Allah, purify our hearts, cleanse our souls, and fill them with piety and faith.

O Allah, make us faithful to Your covenant, distant from betrayal and deceit.

O Allah, make our spending in Your way solely for Your pleasure, without ostentation or seeking fame.

O Allah, guide us to Your pleasure in every word, action, and intention.

O Allah, make the Night of Isra and Mi'raj a blessed one for us, a reason for the elevation of our ranks and the facilitation of our affairs and the fulfillment of our needs.
