Khaberni - Khaberni received a message regarding the employment examinations issued by the General Administration and Service Authority, here is its content:
We present to you an issue that concerns a wide segment from the southern provinces, related to the mechanism of conducting the employment examinations issued by the General Administration and Service Authority.
Applicants for jobs from the southern provinces (Aqaba, Ma'an, Tafilah, Shobak, Karak, and others) suffer considerable difficulty due to the confinement of conducting employment examinations solely in the capital, Amman. This imposes on applicants the necessity to travel long distances that may exceed four hours, especially for residents of Aqaba, in addition to the financial burdens associated with this.
There are increasing questions about the value of this hardship, particularly when most exams are only written, with no personal interviews or practical tests involved, and often the questions are repetitive. Despite some applicants achieving perfect scores, the results are often unclear or unfair.
Moreover, some applicants have been prevented from applying for previous job opportunities due to their inability to afford the repeated travel costs to Amman.
Believing in your media role in conveying the citizens' voice, we present this issue to you, hoping to highlight this matter and urge the relevant authorities to study fair solutions, such as conducting the examinations in the provinces or adopting alternative mechanisms that ensure equal opportunities for all citizens of the nation.
Please accept our utmost respect and appreciation
