Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality has commenced operating environmental monitoring cameras designated to detect violations of random waste dumping, as part of supporting the national cleanliness strategy and enhancing environmental compliance in the capital, aiming to achieve a clean and sustainable urban environment, in addition to enhancing the culture of community responsibility and reducing negative behaviors associated with improper waste disposal.
Thirty cameras have been installed on vehicles belonging to the municipality, plus 11 fixed cameras in Ghamdan Park, ensuring wide field coverage of various areas of the capital, and directly and reliably monitoring environmental violations, in preparation for taking legal actions against violators in accordance with the prevailing legislations.
The Greater Amman Municipality calls on citizens to cooperate and adhere to proper environmental behaviors, which serves the public interest and preserves the beauty of the capital and its environment, affirming that this step is a continuation of the efforts of the Greater Amman Municipality in adopting smart solutions and modern technologies to serve the city and its residents, reflecting the civilized image of Amman, the jewel of the Hashemite crown.
