The chairman of the Greater Amman Committee, Yousef Shawarbeh, disclosed on Sunday that the municipality has contracted with 3 private sector companies for cleaning, collecting, and transporting waste in the capital, aiming to enhance the city’s cleanliness.
Shawarbeh stated in a declaration to "Al-Mamlaka" that the municipality is working to enhance cleaning efficiency in the city through partnership with the private sector. Three companies have been signed with, whose operational program will be announced next week during a transition period lasting six months.
Shawarbeh also confirmed that the municipality has mandated the companies to ensure that 70% of their workforce are local employees from the Greater Amman Municipality, emphasizing that the rights of these local employees will not be compromised.
