Khaberni - Israel is witnessing a high state of alert in anticipation of the possibility of an American intervention in Iran, according to what was reported by the "Reuters" agency from informed Israeli sources.
The sources, which attended Israeli security consultations during the weekend, did not disclose the meaning of the high state of alert that Israel has practically announced.
This comes as Iran experiences widespread protests that began last December.
U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to intervene in recent days, and has warned Iranian rulers against using force against the protesters. Trump said on Saturday that the United States is "ready to help".
American media reports indicated that Trump is "seriously considering" issuing an order for an air strike on Iran, amid reports of a bloody crackdown on demonstrators.
According to the newspaper, no final decision has been made yet, but a range of options have been presented to Trump, including strikes on non-military targets in Tehran.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the possibility of U.S. intervention in Iran over the phone, according to an Israeli source who attended the call.
Earlier on Saturday, Rubio wrote on the platform "X" that the United States "supports the brave Iranian people", while on Sunday, Lindsey Graham, a prominent senator close to Trump, said that help for the Iranian people is "on the way".
The Israeli media talks about a overwhelming consensus within Israel that President Trump intends to strike Iran under the pretext that he will do so to support the Iranian protesters.
